March is truly coming in like a lion, and I think we are all looking forward to the arrival of our lamb.
As tiring as the cold weather and snow may be to the adults, the children are still enjoying the snow and ice. Even on the very coldest day this week we had some eager children and a willing co-oper (thank you, Matt) ready to face the elements for 10 minutes at a time. They have enjoyed the combination of a slide and an icy hill for some incredible rolling wipe-outs. On Friday we had some extremely fast and fun sledding on our big hill.
Inside, the children are loving the light table. It is so cozy and fun to experiment with light and color under the loft. Maps have also been a topic of conversation in both circles and we have been exploring them in inquiry. We have been using some fantastic marine charts in our art exploration and making our own maps.
